What is your purpose in parenting?

I have been into definitions lately.  Definitions are good.  They define.  Groundbreaking thoughts, I know.

How would you define parenting?  What is your definition?  What is the role of parents?  What is the role of Christian parents?  If you don’t have a definition, how do you know if you are being a responsible, faithful parent?

In chapter 4 of Stroope’s and Bruner’s book It Starts At Home, this is the point being made.  It should get us to thinking about the role of parents.  Children are too precious and valuable to God not to have a parental purpose.
